Martin Söderström from Uppsala in Sweden is one of the tallest and most complete mountain bikers in the international circuit, as he loves and masters every biking discipline. If he starts his day with dirt jumping in the morning, you will see him enduro or downhill riding in the afternoon. Otherwise the 26-year old Swede gets bored. Söderström was the runner-up of the 2012 and 2013 Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour but his biggest achievement to date, he says, is fighting his way back to the top after several injures. adidas Outdoor has signed the versatile and progressive athlete, who is mainly known for his unique riding style and his creative tricks, as of January 2016.

“It's an almost unreal feeling to sign with one of the biggest clothing brands in the world”, Martin Söderström says. “I have always been a huge fan of the way adidas Outdoor makes functional clothes with great designs, so you want to wear them on a daily basis but can still do sports with them. Having access to such a wide range of clothing that will cover whatever is on my schedule for the day is what I look most forward to when it comes to working with adidas. I am very motivated to take on 2016 with a fresh new wardrobe!” And he continues: “From the beginning of my career I have watched the adidas riders’ videos and while my focus is now moving more towards filming, I’m very excited to be part of the great media work adidas is doing.”

With the strategy “Creating the New” adidas Outdoor strives to create a culture of innovation and creativity and push the boundaries of products. Martin Söderström is driven by the same ambition to constantly push the boundaries of his riding skills, innovate his style and create new tricks. He is a true ‘creator’ in the mountain bike scene.
