Downhill mountain-biking is a sport of extremes and episode 6 sees the team members at the most distant points of the spectrum! Kade is stoked with his first ever World Cup podium (though debatably he’s as excited about his first front flip!) but Muddy is disappointed once again when he crashes out on his Finals run. Away from the races Gee and Rach are putting in the hard hours of rehab while Dan takes a break from sculpting the Dyfi Forest to play on his Trek Remedy, shredding the Lower Jump Line.

This episode starts the day after Fort William’s World Cup where Gee, frustrated by a weekend of watching from the sidelines is getting into mischief again, aided and abetted by Marshy and our friend and race-truck driver extraordinaire Gareth Brewin. There’s a ground-breaking gondola launch for the GoPro karma drone but its hard not to agree with Gaz that “this is not the face of a pilot I trust”

Muddy and Kade are pumped to be in Leogang and loving the awesome scenery, less so once the “crashes and mayhem” ensue. As Muddy says ruefully “its slippery when wet, and slippery when dry!” Team Director Dan is less than stoked when Kade heads off to Leogang’s enormous airbag, and Kade’s buddy Kaos gets emotional for Kade’s first podium!!

Meanwhile back in Manchester Gee and Rach join coach Nick and Doug Jones of Altius Healthcare for some hard core rehab. They might be standing next to some impressive looking machines but its rubber bands and single plates all the way for the injured siblings. Only Atherton Academy’s Mille on the monkey bars is doing anything to lift Nick’s spirits!!

Athy’s spirits are high as we catch him shredding the dusty forest trails, Dan being Dan he does have to pause his ride to check on some digger maintenance then he’s back on the bike pulling suicide no-handers and manualling through the ferns for the sheer fun of it.
