Chris Keeling - Getting Ready - The Asian Enduro Series - Nepal

On the 2nd of April 2k16 nationals took place. A seeding run and a final run. I, Chris Keeling mtbmagasia rider was participating in this race. Before the race i had my bike wear some sick SDG components saddle and grips, so comfy and also FiftyFifty chain guide which prevented my chain from falling off. In my seeding run in the morning I had various mistakes which put me into second place, and put Rajesh in first. So after lunch our final runs started. I went second last, my run was solid untill I was approaching the collar bone jump via a birm where my right foot unclipped from my SPD pedals. This resulted me in having absolutely no control which then meant I had a shitty take off which lead to a shitty landing. Which then threw me off the bike into the dust of the trail. So in the aftermath of the crash I was thinking that atleast I can make second place, so I rushed back to my bike and no bloody rear wheel, then I try to find and put it back then no axel! My rear wheel axel had snapped! Damn! Many people have been victims of this collar bone jump with it ending with a broken collar bone whereas mine was a broken rear axel. I was very dissapointed with DNF!

Instead of sobbing about this race I decided to think forward. The following week Asian Enduro Series round one is taking place, so I fixed up my bike, equipped it with a new rear wheel axel. Now here iam in Thursday just completed my practice day. Managed to pick up some fast straight lines in all 7 stages. My favourite stage was stage 5 today, the steepest and fastest of them all. Just pimped up my bike and freshened up. Prepare my energy bar and water supply for tomorrow's intense 3 stages which are the most physical. Then onto the next day where more technique is required as its steep and technical. Iam going to go all out for the win!
